Tom Faust, Software Architect and Manager

Tom has been developing software for over thirty years. Starting out on a Radio Shack TRS-80, (no disk, just cassette tape backup - great stuff!), he decided he liked programming well enough to go to school and make a career out of it. Since then he's worked for a relatively small number of companies desiging software and writing code in Assembler, C, Unix Shell, BASIC, Perl, Java, C# .Net and other languages.

Tom has created mostly system level and utility software including a database management system, computer telephony integration, text editors and much more. He is also the designer and author of the software on this site, of course.

Faust Software, LLC (previously FaustWare!) as a company has existed off and on for over 20 years. Hardware and OSes for development have included Alpha Micro systems, various forms of Unix on IBM, HP and other sytems, Linux since 1994, along with Windows XP and Vista.
